The Creeping Bowl 2
Your bedroom door is mostly closed. Its space lit only by a small foot wide plane of light from the hall you stand in. You glance into a room to your side and in your peripheral vision you see something the size of a cat, but moving like an arachnid, scurry across the plane of light in your room. The hairs on the back of your neck stand on end and the tingling sensation of walking through the web of a spider, moves across your person. You did not get a good look at it as your vision was focused elsewhere. You look for some weapon but none is at hand. Bravely or perhaps foolishly you open your bedroom door fully and flip on the light. The room is illuminated but nothing is to be seen. Scanning the room you see a dark leg sticking out from under the bed. Bending down to get a better look you see it and are filled with dread. This unknown thing leaps at your foolishly exposed face!
